Hardwired? Atlas, Rise? Doesn’t sound like 35 years has slowed down one of the biggest, heaviest bands in the world, METALLICA.
In another rare display, METALLICA still have the heart that has resonated with fans since the first notes of “Whiplash” screamed out of radio waves, LPs and cassette decks.
In this case, playing to a small, cramped Toronto crowd of less than 800 rabid fans for a worthy cause — The Daily Food Bank.
Metallica returned the stage for a three song encore, unearthing a classic cover, Thin Lizzy’s “Whiskey in a Jar”; album title track “Hardwired” and finally Metallica’s tradional anthem closer from their debut “Kill ’em All” — “Seek and Destroy”.
For any that were privilideged to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event: the anticipation, the energy and the memories will fulfill another long-lasting 35 years.
