UPCOMING: The 5th Open World Toronto Film Festival (OWTFF) November 7-10, 2019

The Open World Toronto Film Festival (OWTFF) is delighted to announce the launch of its fifth edition which takes place in Toronto on November 7-8-10 at the Tartu College at 310 Bloor st W and November 9 at 21 College St. 

This year’s program will be focused on showcasing new local filmmakers in the category: Local Support and Special Presentation.

The goal of the festival is to elevate and to promote emerging talents, and to develop the new young generation of filmmakers by providing equal opportunities for everyone who is talented to expose their works.

Amazing guests, international filmmakers from Japan, China, United States and Montreal including celebrities, Thomas Craig, Tee Schneider, Samantha Kaine, will gather on October 18th -21 on the Red Capet.

We will announce the outstanding winners in such nominations as:

  • Best Short
  • Best Long Short
  • Best Web series
  • Best Features
  • Best Experimental
  • Best Actor
  • Best Actress
  • Best Director
  • Best Animation
  • Best Music Video
  • Best Documentary

On The Red Capet Gala that will culminate with an awards ceremony, the guests will have the chance to meet with famous film producers, well-known directors, distributors and promoters from the film industry.

The festival has already proved itself as an exciting opportunity to recognize new local talents and to bring international filmmakers and guests to the city.
